1992 Twin Turbo Camaro 'NOTSLOW'
Posted this over on the pro tour board. Thought I'd throw it up here since I got a few more pictures and videos of the car.
I'm starting this thread hoping to restore my interest in my car and make me take down my for sale ads and get to work!
It started a long time ago when I was 15 and my cool older cousin was selling his '88 iroc. I bought the car and had it insured in the car port before I even had my license. I learned how to drive, drive stick, and generally how to get in trouble in that car. Regrettably I sold it after high school to follow a girl around in Europe on our backpacking trip.
I started looking for clean Irocs after working in the real world for a few years and found the cars around here were over priced for their shape. I started chasing cars in the states and landed on this car I found in Ohio.
Thats a picture when I bought the car.
It was featured in March 2011 GM High Tech by the previous owner. http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...o/viewall.html
I plan to make this the best pro touring Third Gen there is. Motor and car is there but brakes and suspension have a long way to go before it's what I want it to be. Motor and wiring need a few tweaks and I plan on pulling a few more ponies out of her yet.
If anyone has any questions or wants specific pics ask away.

Tyler you car is a dream car for so many here! I can't wait to see what the future hold for that beast and you. Your wedding day pics turned out amazing bro. I had my car in my wedding pics too, and if you anything like me those pics are easily your favorite ones.
Car looks so good man!
So your still running a factory K-member? Your down pipes run above or below the k?

If you need help restoring your interest in that car there is something wrong with you, I would advise counseling. Seriously dude, brakes and suspension are easy stuff and not all that expensive either. Throw down a few more K's on what you want to get done to it and get to work. Car looks great as is though, that TT set up is insane.

By far my favorite third gen! What's the current spring and shock set up on the car? Also are the door panels a custom job?

Re: 1992 Twin Turbo Camaro 'NOTSLOW'
Tubs are no simple task in these cars. I went over to a friends house and looked at his and there is a ton of work involved and then to fit the interior back takes quite a bit of work. I have started to look at it for mine, since I am taking the same path as he is. Sure the tub is cheap, but that is it.
Then you move into the k-member and a-arms, that is going to be a $1K, then if he goes with full tilt Baer or Wilwood another $2-3K.
Forgeline wheels are another $3-4K, hopefully he can reuse the tires to save money, otherwise another $1K there.
I can totally see where the motivation is lost. Once you get to a certain point the only things left are extremely high dollar things that net you only a little bit of gain and you question whether the payoff is worth it. Good luck in finding your motivation again. I lost mine and halfheartedly tried to sell my car several times, but with my impending motor swap I have been gaining quite a bit of it back. Then, unfortunately, I will be back in the same position you are in right now. All big things done, only major dollar modifications remain.
BTW beautiful car! It looks to be done right the first time and no half-*** work, just to get it on the road.

Re: 1992 Twin Turbo Camaro 'NOTSLOW'
Compared to what has already been spent on that car.. thats not a lot of $. Is tubbing and changing out suspension as expensive and time consuming a good repaint... no, building and engine/tt set up and get it running right.. no. Hard stuff is done on the car is all I was saying buddy. If he wants to spend 5, 10, 20k on wheels , it is what it is, that does not effect my comment. Tryin to help the OP with some motivation, not get in an internet arguement, no need for the lol's.

BEAST MODE!
My favorite thing about this car is that none of the mods are tacky. You found a great car bud! Take pride in that ride.

Re: 1992 Twin Turbo Camaro 'NOTSLOW'
Bump.
Do you still have the car pal? If love to see some pictures of the car with the stock k member in place.
I'm coming off my single turbo lsx build and just gathering parts for twins. Almost a similar build, up and forward headers, custom piping yada yada.
I'm trying to decide if I wanna keep my tubular k, switch to a different brand or try to use the stock one. The one I have now is fine and all, except even at ~500whp on all season 245s I was ripping the welds in it.
Anyways. I'd love some pictures of how the downpipes are routed and what not also. Thanks man

Do you have sub-frame connectors on your car? If so what brand and what brand of K-member are you using?

Sorry to butt in... But I'm curious, one day I might go the TT route (I realize you have single T current) so I have a couple questions regarding your tubular K-member welds breaking.
Do you have sub-frame connectors on your car? If so what brand and what brand of K-member are you using?
