the one thing i would suggest is when you mount them just watch the front lip of the blackouts. Make sure you put the lip a little back so the wind wont catch it so easily. I had one crack into 2 and go flying of when I was doing about 90 on the highway. I bulding custom blackouts that just go on the headlamps themselves. I like have the wells.
I lost one of mine one day and sent one back to GTS and they sent me a new set. I put black tapeon them, half on bracket and half one cover, only noticeable up close, so far so good, they stay one at 100 mph.
heres what i did i took 2 small screws screwed the brackets on "u cant see the screws then on the braclets where u slide the covers into them i took some black rtv and ran a small amount in the bracket havent lost this set in over 2yrs and you can still get them off if u need to replace headlights later
my drivers side front blackout flew off @ 115 about a year ago ... took the other off and just been running the brackets since then. my plan when I had them was to use a small strip of double sided tape on the bottom to hold it on at high speeds .. want to prevent air from getting under the blackout and causing the upward force. My dad sudgested some kind of foam or something but it didnt sound like a good idea to me. Oh well it flew off like 3 days after that and I gave up! hahahah.
It also might have come off because the car was in a front end collision (10 mph) and the whole front piece is kinda off (bent out of shape). I think the core supports might have been bent. Was a good excuse to buy the front end and entire ground f/x from a 91-92 rs ($400!) and now I'm working on updating my 90 RS to 91-92 Style (wheels and all). I will run front blackouts again some day!!
