From a Style standpoint I don't like them I think they kill the look of a car.
I like the smoothness of the hard top cars.

As much as I love them, I love hardtops as well. I always wondered what a hardtop with a power moonroof would look like, but I heard that it's not doable due to a center beam running through the center of the roof.

Any thoughts on a moonroof? I see a lot of sunroof equipped cars.

IMO I think the hardtop cars look bland and boring....and the sunroofs look out of place, long live the T-Tops!

The T-Tops make our cars unique....it's probably my favorite part of the F-Body Line...the only way you should go without them is if you race 'em, live in a very wet environment, or already have a convertable, or if you just don't like sunlight in general

I love my t-tops, the best air conditioning man invented.
I hear all you guys saying that girls dig t-tops, but where is my girl??
I have a nice car, i am not that gly (at least in dont think i am), where's my girl??

Anyway, i got off the subject alittle, just because i am a loser, lol;
t-tops are great and some will say they leak and some say they dont, but when they do leak they can be fixed with the rubber good. with some silicone, adjusting, and time.

I just love to have the light coming in over my head. I feel claustrophobic in other cars. I could never own a true hard top. It would at least have to have a sun or moon roof. Heck the Scout I am building has a removable top, so there you go. We may even add a sunroof to it.

I like them... but I will never buy a car with them again. (unless it is something super rare that I will never drive in the rain) I have had nothing but trouble with mine, and even after all new seals I am still tracking down leaks

A drive at night after a 100 degree day will always compensate for all of the rain problems as far as I am concerned. Knocks my daughter out really easy too.

Nothing beats the reflective quality of the T-tops at night. Looking up and seeing the gauge's reflection against the stars-$10.........gawking at the reflection of your girl's cleavage-priceless.......well until you look for to long and wreck.......

I love that part. hehe.

I have owned both a hardtop and ttop thirdgen's and i really love the ttops.

as far as leaks, everything in life is a love 'em and hate 'em relationship, has its ups and downs, so as long as you can stand the downs, the ups are way big.

Now, don't get me wrong, hardtops are great too, but nothing compares with the wind through your hair.

I have them. Fortunately, they don't leak. But they do get squeaky and introduce some wind noise. I think the car looks better with them, but considering the reduced chassis stiffness, the complexity of the weatherstripping, the need for "constant" cleaning and lubricating of the weatherstripping, and the added heat in the summer, I would prefer to not have them. If I were to buy another Thirdgen, I would stay away from them.

i wouldn't buy a thirdgen without them I love them and yes mine leak, no big deal, that can be fixed

wind is an awsome fresheshener

they are great in the dark when they are off

Looking up through them is awsome

hardtops are blah and boring, they have always been around, t-tops are unique and different, they give the car a unique stance that looks great

the only part i hate is when your driving with them off and it starts raining, you have to pull over and put them on real quick, but you just have to learn to watch the weather carfully

I like t-tops some times but others not because my hair always flys around and gets tangled and because when it is hot and sunny doring the day they are really hot and i always burn myself on them. Plus they make a really cool sound when one flys off

its more of a "scary" sound and trust me, it sucks! it sucks even more to go to the boneyards to only find hardtops or if it had tees, that sombody already took them or the were hook style or broken completly

I feel like I'm locked up in a small room with no windows or or lights when I get into a car with no sun coming through the roof. I love my t-tops!

ttops are great, at night the ladies can look up and see a reflection, hmmm, same theory as the mirror above the bed maybe? Plus they feel cool, look cool and just are cool. and i do have a replacement for each side in case one flys off.

t-tops was one of the options that my car HAD to have in order for me to buy it..and a 5spd was the other... and i lucked..out..i got a 350, ttop,5spd ( i think 350 anyways)

they used to leak. now they are fixed..they make the car no ifs ands or butts about it!! and the thing about women liking ttops..

OMG...if i had a $1 for everytime a hottie came up to me and asked for a ride, id be a millionaire...they love the freeness it gives them..or so im told..the gf doesnt like it when the girls come up to me...(but i do )..makes you feel special..

all in all i wouldnt trade them for a boring hard top ever!! not even if i was given $3000 extra for a hard top!

uh, I have always heard that T-Tops make the car heavier because the cars had to be reinforced to be able to have the T-Tops without ruining the car...either way I wouldn't go without them.

i like the t tops a lot for warm nights.. its nice to be able to look up at the sky. but really im sort of in the middle of like and dislike.. they leak, and when im driving in the daytime it dosent block out the sun very well and blinds the heLL out of me. and really they dont help much on a hot day. and if you take em off and you go to the movies or something you gotta put em back on for security reasons which is not really as quick of a job i would like. but the chics like em so they dont bother me to much
