Gosh....what a PROBLEM!!!!
OK....here is the problem-
The door will not open and is shut. I think the door handle bar that opens the mechanism in the door fell off. So now my door is shut and the manual calls for the panel removal but....that seems hard to do when the door is shut and won't open....
Any ideas?....

Does the other door open? You should be able to open the door from the inside. You need to take off the dash pad to get the door panel trim. The int handle uses a seperate rod.Its actutally reall easy to take off all the trim for the door panel. Roll down the window and do the shimey and shake method to get the black trim that goes across the window.Thats what I call it lol. With the door shut you should just have to tilt the part towards the outter door skin and pull up on the trim piece and it should come off. Then you need to take off the arm rest, it should have 3 torxs bolts that use size 50 or whatever the sizes are called. Then you will need to take off the door handle trim, it is hard to get it off of the handle its self but you should be able to wiggle it off. If you have manual windows the window crank has a metal clip on the backside of it use a screw driver with some electrical tape on the tip to remove it. I didnt do that when I took off my old red panels I sliped and riped the panel badly
Then you need to pull at the edges of the panel and break off the old plastic tabs that hold it on, you may need to get a special tool to do it and you can get new door panel retainers at any parts house. I got a box of 30 for 3.95 and have plently left over.

thanks guys
Hey sorry I haven't been around, Anywho, thanks, my driver side door works fine, I don't like passengers in that car anyways.....when me and the IROC are together, its just me and her, you know? That sounds pretty sappy but its true. So the first thing is dash pad removal, ok, I will mess with that after I finish the 86 monte carlo. Thanks for the help, I will checks for door panel tabs at the parts store-
