last time I remember, ghetto didn't mean something good, in fact, it meant quite the opposite.. as in distasteful.

i think FLYNLOW92RS has a "wing" on his car, though i wouldn't call it ghetto, it looks pretty good on his. IROC2NV also has some sort of something attached to his decklid if i remember correctly (i haven't seen recent pics of his car though and he was talking about changing it up last thing i knew)

I have one, and I LIKE it!!! The lines of the cowl hood flow soo well with it.
I wouldn't use the words you use, I would use stuff like: DIFFERENT, intruiging, aerodynamically effective (and tested at speed multiple times), awesome, and attention getter. It's not a show stopper though, a lot of people don't like it, and I catch flak for it. I don't care.
Anyways, here's the pics:

Well, I was bored, and no one else was posting, here's a rear shot. (I wouldn't expect the board to be active at 4 AM MST)

I think if you had a 15" cowl hood, then it would match the lines well. I realize that you didn't ask for my opinion, but I'd have to say that it's definately not my taste.
The reason that I chimed in though, is that you make a good point about offsetting a cowl hood. I've got a cowl hood on my IROC, and I'm actually buying a 5" stock-style spoiler when ASCD reproduces them. It'll be my first non-functional modification. I'm shocked, amazed, and maybe a little ashamed.

The pictures don't do the "lines" I'm talking about justice, you have to see it in person.
I did not realize that ASCD was going to make the 5" again. I didn't follow the posts too closely lately. I'm glad they are going to be making them again.

The wing on that black car is waaay to tall and looks out of place IMO. Not that its not OK for you, just not for me Kind of looks like the handle on a shopping cart.
Redraif I like your custom wing.... I wonder what it would look like with the smaller one on top of the bigger one
I wish I would have done more body mods before painting my car a custom color I really love the stock bodylines but a different hood, spoiler, or mirrors would have been cool too had I given it more thought at the time.

I wish the 5" would come back. I have not heard anything from our buddy Rex in months. I emalied him last week but no response. Someone said they had gotten one and he was still going through with it, but i doubt it!

Always liked the look of oldblue's car, very nice, different, and still tasteful. I figure I'll remind everyone right now the whole 'respect others and their tastes' thing before people start getting banned...this IS a spoiler thread after all, and nothing opens the mouths of discontent then an aftermarket spoiler! Have a great day!

Several of these look pretty good, wings aren't for everyone for tastefully done they can still look good. But good *** a couple of the others are seriously hideous, not done tastefully at all...
I like that 5" stock-style spoiler though, and the 91-92 Z wing has always looked pretty good IMO...

no offense to none of to you guys, but some of these wings to me just say ***** trash. I mean whatever you want to do to your car is just that, your car, but I definately don't like alot of them. I just think we drive performance cars, REAL sports cars, and we shouldn't immitate these ***** idiots in making our cars look ridicilous. I don't mean to start any feuds but I'm just voicing my opinion.

that isn't actually a car anyone drives in public is it?this defines ****** mobile, wheels with massively WRONG OFFSETS
that would look out of place on a 4x4 and the wing,i seriously just threw up in my mouth and feel nauseous.
a heritage wing, wheels with a non stupid offset and this blue z28 would be really sweet.

After this thread had been revived I realized my car might fit here. It was picked up as shown last August. I really didn't like it at first, but honestly I think it's growing on me.
