Transmission: 700r4 crazy beefed up one
Axle/Gears: ones with teeth
help how to prep new nose

hey all i got a new gm nose on my 85 what do i need to do to prep it for paint. do i have to do any sanding on it before primer or just primer and block sand

Transmission: 700r4
sand sand sand. very fine paper, like 400 or so. just keep sanding. when you get down there will probably be cracks... just keep on sanding. fresh paint shows alot

umm did i mention it was brand new gm nose ahh yes i think i did

so it may have cracks?

Axle/Gears: 3.08/ 3.23
Wet sand lightly with 400-600 grit, enough to roughen the surface, clean, adhesion promoter (such as bulldog), paint. You can also scuff with a grey scotchbrite pad instead of sanding.
Flex additive is worthless... if you'll be painting it on the car (or off really).
