there are several screws that run along the bottom lip of the dashpad, and 4 in the defrost duct near the front of the windsheild, after u take those out it should come out, it might be different, i got a trans am, so it might be different from camaro's
nope, same exact process for the camaro's. After you get all the screws off the bottom lip of the dash, and remove them from the defroster vent, it lifts up and out

Re: Dash pad Removal
I am old and my eyes aren't that good but I am frustrated. No problem getting the screws out of the dash but I can't seem to find the screws in the defroster vent. Don't know if anything you might tell me that might help. Thanks in advance.

Re: Dash pad Removal
If nothing else, stand outside the car and look through the windshield. From that perspective, the screws will be obvious.

Oh My. I was looking down in to the vent. I found them. THey are vertical going towards the front rather than down. I guess I need stronger glasses.

Re: Dash pad Removal
By now, you've probably got the dashpad out, but if not, 1AAuto's youtube channel shows them removing the entire dash. At least two of their employees are active on this site and over the past two months they've posted a wealth of videos regarding removing parts and pieces from Camaros.

Re: Dash pad Removal
Easiest if you take the windshield out. Of course, that con be a pain in and off it self. Ours was shattered and needed replacing anyway so kill two birds with one stone!
