How to remove paint without damaging metal

I have a pair of calipers that are painted, and I would like to remove the paint completely while keeping the metal underneath intact perfectly. What is the best way to go about this?

I would prefer to do this myself and without damaging the rubber seal, but if I have to I will.

how about something like a 3m roloc wheel that goes on your die grinder. thay are small sand well and are easy to control around rubber seals.

plastic media blasting or soda blasting would probably be the safest method.

I think I got mine at autozone. Be sure to wear a long sleve shirt and the proper gloves, cause that stuff will melt a hole in your hand.

Aircraft stripper is good stuff, the only thing I've found that it doesn't work on is header paint that's been properly cured. I find it doesn't burn unless it's been on my skin a while.
