Rust Problems
Recently, I have been unable to put my car in my garage so it has been sitting in some bad weather for some time. Im starting to get rust along the metal along the parts of my t-tops as well as the metal along the hatch of my rear window. It looks like garbage and I was wondering how I could get rid of the rust without simply painting over it (because the paint is fading too and I wanted to touch that up also). What do you guys think I should do to fix the rust and paint? Thanks

the metal on those parts are soft, so cleaning the rust should not be that bad, depending on how deep it has gone, a very thin layer of filler on the t-top strips can be done just to smooth the finished product, primer, paint with satin finish black, or clour of your choice. as for the rear window, protect the glass, wire wheel or glass blast the frame. For paint, once again, go satin finish enamel or colour of your choice, this rust will most likely not come back again after you clean it properly.
Enjoy!
