two-tone is tough, but a million times better than one color when done right. I'd say with the stripes on the car I'd go for a red/black, it'll look good. Im in the process of switching my interior out now too. Original outside color was maroon, and interior was black/navy blue (odd I thought it didnt match) but now that the outside is candy red, Im doing a full black swap

Not red and black but it is two tone. I went with the grey because I have silver stripes on the hood. Just to give some ideas.

No real good pics to show but......
I doing/done the whole red/black two tone body/interior
I'm an "old school" type with hot rodding and going faster in my blood so some was done for performance/weight, some was done for looks
: removed all plastic panels, carpet, and padding.
: painted panels black
: hot glued Red light weight replacement (speaker box) carpet in the centers of the panels. Like Chevy did with the carpet on some of the third gens
: covered floor in peel & seal (same as dynamat, but alot cheaper) along with another type of foil/bubble/foil type stuff
: black light weight replacement (speaker box) carpet for all the flooring (shaved about 40 lbs off)
: B&M pro stick shifter, custom mounted in stock consol
: "old school" chrome skull shifter ****
: painted the tan/tan carpet door panels black and painted the carpet on them red (will be making custom black/red flame or stripe door panels soon)
: Installed mid 80's toyota celica gt seats, and dyied them red in the centers, black on the sides (will be installing a set of sport race style black/red seats soon)
: grant black/chrome 3 spoke steering wheel
: removed ac/heater vents on the left side of dash (driver's side) and put gauges in those 2 holes (3 2-1/16" digital gauges, trans temp, oil temp, air/fuel ratio)
: Nordskog digital gauge panel
: 2 chrome toggel switchs in the consol to the left of the P R N D 2 1 letters/numbers (they are for my th-400 elec kickdown and my second small elec "helper" fuel pump)
: When I build my new door panels, i'm thinking about semi shaved door handles (got to keep it NHRA legal and no outside handle is a no no) If I put a push botton on the out side in place of the door handle i'll ne legal, and then I can delete the inside handles (cover them up with my door panels) and install push buttons in the consol, and change the inside door pull to something alot smaller
: Made a rear hatch plate for 2 10" speakers, hot glued black light weight carpet on it
: Not done yet, but gonna make a rear seat delete, thats hinged so I can store stuff where the seats use too be. I'll carry out the 2 tone on it by covering it in lightweight black carpet and cutting out a red lightweight carpet bow-tie or flames, and hot glue that to the black carpet

The front and rear seats are now Blue and Silver (To match the exterior of the car) as well as custom, digitized embroidered "Z28" in Blue w/ silver outlining, and "25th Anniversary" in red on the front seats.
Took over 20 hours (Sat & Sun) for me to remove the seats from the car, remove the old upholstery (factory light grey "p"leather), install the new custom leather upholstery, hog ring, cut out holes for screws, bolts, headrest, etc, and take lots of pictures along the way.
I am doing a complete review on the seats which is why all the pics were necessary and why it took so long. After much aching hands, fingers, back, cuts.. finally got them installed and into the car.
Here are some pics of them in the car. Note: These are not the best quality. They were taken during sundown and I've yet to have been able to take good pics when it's sunny (always raining on the weekend).
The blue on the seats might look shiny but that is because of the flash on the camera reflecting. Just letting you know since people are accusing me of painting for the seats, or they are too glossy.. ;-)

Personally I am very happy with the results. Definately looking forward to going to the next bunch of car shows next year. :-)

Powermite has done an increadible job with a custom interior. Aluminum trim rings for the gauges, brushed aluminium radio plate, and center console plate. Simply beautiful.

irocz eric......
I looked through my 400+ pics and found a few worth showing. 5 is on my webshots page (links below) and 6 i'll have to e-mail to you, then if you want to you can resize and post on here for 335 and others to see.
Most if not all my pics are during the "build up" that lasted almost 2 years, so some the car, windows, interior may be pretty dirty, tools laying around, etc

Spray can fabric dye. I think it was dupli-color or plastic-cote brand.
The results wasnt too bad. The fronts turned out pretty good, but the backs didn't. The rear seats colored better, but got hard/stiff feeling.
The dye is only good for about 6 mo. I been driving my car since June, now the color is starting to wear off the high wear spots on the front seats (bottom front, outter side, center back)
On the door panels I used dollar gen. store brand red and black spray paint. It done pretty well on the coth/carpet door panels. Alittle stiff feel to the carpet on the bottom of the panel now though, but even after 6 mo. the color is still nice and bright.
I just done all of that as fast, cheap ways of making it look better. My interior was sooo nasty when I bought the car, I was almost scared to sit in it to drive it home lol.
Now being I got the engine the way I want it, upgraded rearend (locker, yukon axles, aum cover, etc), th-400 trans, etc etc I can go back and get the seats I wanted in the 1st place (race style sport seats), make custom door panels, and ditch the rear seats and build a good looking delete panel for the rear seats
