Convert 91-92 front end to 85-90 TA
Convert 91-92 front end to 85-90 TA
I'm guessing that this has been asked before and I apologize, but I need a little help. I'm thinking about buying a '91 Formula with ground effects. I don't like the banshee looking nose of these year cars, and was wondering if it is possible (and preferably easy) to pull that front end off and replace it with a 85-90 TA front end. Has anybody done this and other than the front end itself, what do I have to get (parking lights, new fogs, etc.)
Thanks.
Thanks.

There was a local guy with a 92 TA vert who did the whole swap, I can't remember his user name though. IIRC he posted the car for sale some time ago.

I have done this to my T/A only I put the 91' Nose on my 89' T/A, You'll need the Impact absorber assembly, Nose & upper support & the Turn signal housings & the bulb socket, & driving lights if it has any.....it's farly simple, but time consuming. Remove the front nose & upper support bar then the impact absorber. Cut the Tun signal sockets & add the other sockets(might need to add wire for them to reach, then just install the impact abrorber. Add the Nose support Then install the nose & then the turn signals......The Nose has four bolts on the sides, the impact absorber has 4 bolts on each side & the upper support is held on by bolts up top. Hope this helps.
