Ground Effects help

I got a set of lower 91-92 ground effects but it's missing what i think is some kind of bracket that attaches it behind the door to the body. theres about a 1 inch gap where it needs to be pulled in. These are on an 87 is there a bracket there? or do i just need to move the ground effect in by extending the holes?

This is the area Im talking about

yeah i got mine off ebay a while back because one side broke and i liked this style. But they didnt throw in those brackets. I just hate that they're plastic instead of fiberglass like the other style.

I also didnt like that but they seem pretty strong. I bought them off of a company that was known for selling good thirdgen parts. You never know on ebay though.
