My steering column in my car is getting worn and the hex screws need to be tightened. There is a car at the junkyard that is an 89, mine is a 88, and it has the chip in the key. My key does not have it, however can you switch columns and have it? Meaning will it all plug in? My car does have the spot on the dash that says "sercurity" if you shine a light on it you can see it, but it never comes on. Is it possible?
