If you take your car to a Chevy dealer to repair the door hinges and they do the repair according to the GM's way, they will drill, cut, grind, chisel, chop, and hack the hinges off the door, then drill holes in the door to bolt the new hinges on, then try to align the door. All of this is costing you major bucks.

You can get the kit mentioned in the above reply and do it right.
BTW all of the people that scream hack-job any time you find a better way than GM's way will not be using this kit.

This is a top notch Item. Much better than original. Fully machined and greasable. These are made to last.
GM would prefer you bought a new car, so they don't make them to last this long.
