it depends on the prep work that it needs and also the shop, but SOM is not cheap paint by itself.

The paint itself shouldent be that expensive. You will have to search around your area for good painters. The lowest price isent alwayse the best. Trust me you dont want to have to redo the paint in 6 months to a year.

when the c6 corvette came out with that sunburst orange color i fell in love with it. hopefully i will be getting my camaro painted soon and it will be more than likely the stock maroon color but i have been contemplating that sunburst orange.

for the paint alone(thats just the base coat) you can expect to pay $500-$700 for a gallon. red is the most expensive color out there. orange is in the same family as red and when you start adding metalic and/or pearls(like sunset and sunburst) it really gets pricey. for example, at work we are building a 1933 ford 3 window coupe. the guy wants it painted go mango orange(thats the color of the new dodge daytona pickups). that base coat color is $90 a pint, not a quart, a pint. thats alot of cash. that color has alot of pearl in it. so you can see how expensive it gets. it also depends on the paint manufacturer that you use.

i did mine with a half gallon. i ran out a little, but i was able to make some right in the shop. i would say about 3/4 of a gallon. just remmember that the reducer will stretch it out. so a half gallon reduced 1:1 is one full gallon mixed.

Axle/Gears: posi, and posi w/discs :D.
paint itself is always expensive if you want a good quality job.
i think that color would look awesome personally. i love it.
