LOL, this is progress??!

I finally found one day to work on the car. Off with the rotted quarter & on with the new. just waiting on the new outer wheel well then we can weld it & the quarter on. The only metal on the whole car that needed replaced, figures it would be the quarter.

Updates at end!

I'd say its progess! You going with a new GM piece, or aftermarket? I'd hit the inside seams with some por15 when you're done, for ease of mind!

looks good, keep at it.

Yeah, I should be at the fest next year & I'm just goin with a 60% cheater panel. I've had good luck with them on other projects and this one looks pretty decent also. I was trying to find a Goodmark one as shown on their website but had no luck. Even Goodmark was out of stock on them! Stay tuned for update pics.

UPDATE!!

Making some progress, the rest of the body is good, just need to sand and I'll be ready to paint in late March. Now tell me - factory red or 94 Ford truck blue that I really like!

If it's the blue that the 94-ish F-150's came in I think that would be a great combination. I have often wondered about that color on our cars. -Bob

A whopping 80 bucks! Some people bash the foreign partial quarters for being to thin but I've never had a problem in all the ones I've put on.

Got it from The Parts Place in Elburn, Il.

Don't worry Stevo, I'm going to start working on this like flies on poop and I'll post pics every step of the way. I may even let you guys pick the color for me with a poll.

And yeah, that back shot of your car is about the best I've seen ever!

nice! i am jealous lol

heres my rusted out QP:
behind the tire

just behind the door and in front of the tire

front overview

rear overview

as you can see, mine really needs help, needs an entire skin,

i already removed all the rear interior and its fine inside,

just the stupid outer skin rotted away,

and i have access to welders,

although im not an experienced welder at all,
but my brother is,
so i think we can do it just fine with the mig and some hammering and grinding and such for a couple hours one day

so 80 bucks for an entire QP replacement skin ? nice but thats for camaros

i see the FB ones are over 100

hum,

am i missing something ?

thanks
