anyone interested in...
I was checking to see if anyone may be interested in either getting their hood louver pegs fixed or a kit to do it yourself? I think I figured out a way to repair/restore the plastic pegs to hold on the iroc hood louvers. they are easy to find with broken pegs and I was thinking about either fixing them for people or selling a kit to do it yourself. I found something that will work for the pegs but I need to go and see if I can find different nuts since these a little sturdier and a little bigger around but still fit fine in the hole. (I think, I know this stuff will work but I have been trying to get some convertible stuff done and it is taking forever) If I do it I am thinking $50 plus shipping back to repair them and also repaint them the correct oem color so it will be like getting a brand new set back. If i did a kit it would be around $35 and $5 shipping. the kit would include all the materials necessary to do it plus either directions or a link to a video that will show all of it. Just checking to see if there is any interest in this or if it would be a waste of time. I am not going to say what the stuff is or where it comes from all I can say is if you guys think it will be a good idea I will make sure it all works just like it is supposed to.

honestly man, if you can do it, why cant anyone else? I mean sure it might sell on something like hawks. But for you to try and sell people some nuts and bolts and about 5 bucks of paint. I think people would be more interested in a detailed instructions on do-it-yourself louver fix.
just my .02 cents.

ttt
this is not easy to get correct so I don't really want to put a tutorial on here on how to do it and have people messing their louvers up bad enough they couldn't be used again.

I would definately try a repair, mine aren't usable as they are. Wouldn't you have to go through top side? I've thought of a possible repair, but it looks like the plastic gets too brittle to try to use for a repair. It would be embarassing to have them come off while hot doggin it.

I don't go through the top side that would look horrible in my opinion. If you want send them to me and I will fix them. The way I do it, as far as I can tell now the pegs that are repaired feel alot stronger than the originals.

$35 for all that you need and instructions or I can do it for $50. I may try to find a few sets and do them on exchange so that way it would be a one day turn around on them.

Have you done a set and actually mounted them yet? If so, maybe a close-up pic of a mounted set to show the quality of the finish?

here is the last set I did and sold. I honestly have never even mounted them but I have done alot of stuff with this same epoxy and know it's limitations. This stuff is a walk in the park for it as long as everything is prepped right. and the pegs are solid so they feel alot stiffer than the originals. I haven't heard any complaints yet so it must be holding up OK. the epoxy has a hold rating of 3500 psi so it is definitely good stuff.
