No locks

Before the flood of questions, i bought the car with no locks, i know, stupid . But the car had no stereo anyway so figured what the hey. Anyway im putting a radio in and decided it was time for some locks. The only problem is that the guy i got it from covered the holes. Now i know where they go on the door but the only question i have is that, is it only a matter of drilling holes and putting the lock cylinders in? i know i have to hook them up inside the door but is there anything else. I have yet to pop the door panels off and was wondering what adventures a wait me.
P.S. i have power locks

Re: No locks

You're going to have to pull the door panels before you really know what you're into. Re-drilling the holes sounds like a real pain..... I might be looking to work with what I've got (keyless entry?) or a new set of doors. Looking inside the door you will be looking right at the back of the lock hole, you should be able to see exactly what they did so that's your next step.

If you have power locks,do you have an alarm or keyless remote on a keychain that will unlock them for you?

Re: No locks

Yeah i probably could go with the key less entry but i wanted to see what the deal was first. I popped the door panels off today and found out that he basically welded over the hole. the job was done pretty well actually you would not even know the hole was even there. When i looked in the door i noticed that the small metal bar.... was still attached to the lever... which was attached to the actual lock of the door. so maybe if i can find a pic of what the whole setup is supposed to look like i can find what im really missing.
