front quarter Panel replacement (Help).
I recently traded a 1965 valiant for an 89 V6 firebird. the front right quatere panel is smashed in. I would like to know if anyone has some advice on getting it fixed, (how, where to look for parts, how much it will be). I plan on taking it to a repuatable body shop, because i have no experience with auto body.
any advice or tips would be appreciated.

Well first of all quarter panels are in the rear of the car, what you're refering to is the fender. That should help you locate a replacement one. I just picked of a Right Fender for 30 bucks and it is in really good shape, just a lil filler on a tiny dent that the previous owner and I didnt notice till I went over it in the shop. It would be cheaper to find a good used one with minimal dents. Check craigslist they may have em on there or go to the for sale section in here and look for one. If it's "smashed in" then they would probly tell u that you need a new fender. Even a brand new one isnt that expensive its just the shipping that will get you. Check andysautosports.com for a brand new one, but i think u could find a could used on somewhere close.
I hope that helps you out

Yeah go with a good used one. They are not that difficult to locate. I live in the midwest so I have to watch out for rust under the ground effects.
