Im in desperate need of a new front bumper, i have a 92 firebird with foglights and ground efx. i also need the side pieces that go on the front finders too. im located in west ky, so if anyone can help me out it would me greatly appreciated.

So you need
Fender GFX - impossible to find. If you find one, it will most likely be overpriced.
bumper - easier to find.

Check out the "Parts for sale" section of the forum
and it you cant find it there, make all requests in the "Parts wanted" section

Do you have a junkyard near you. I'd look there first.

The front ground effects are overpriced. Also, don't buy the 91-92' front bumpers some of the people on this forum try to sell you...$200 is rediculous for the front bumper. Search craigslist, I purchased my front bumper, both front fender ground effects, headlight cover, and some other misc. parts for $150 total just a couple months ago. There are deals out there.

i need the same parts some people in here are nuts if they think i would buy one small peice of plastic for 150. i did find a site where they have sold for 15 dollars!!!! the part that sucks...........waiting list

Well I bought one cracked fender gfx for around $100 awhile back and intend to use it as a template at a sheet metal workshop. Have them fabricate me a pair. Would probably be cheaper that way anyway.

that would be a good idea. then you have a really good peice. i think that the plastic effects on the front fender just dont hold up, making them out of steel or aluminum would be a great idea...make em to sell, considering they are so hard to find in good shape

in west ky, there is only a handfull of junk yards, and out of all these junk yard, they have only 1 91-92 bird. i snaged the turn/fog light assembly out of it(dog destoyed mine) but the bumper was trashed worse than mine. i broke my gdfx pieces by unloading it off the trailer. i got a couple buddies that work at a body shop but 3 years ago when i checked on a new front bumper it was in the 400 dollar range. i just want my car to not be wrecked again.

I've got at least one front bumper for a '91-'92 GFX car, but shipping would be a killer. I know because another guy on here wanted it, and UPS wanted to charge over $100 for shipping the damn thing.

But people are right about the prices being too high. I'd price mine at $75-100.

cool man. what color is it? im was given a lead about a car sitting in a yard about 45 min away, so monday im going to check it out. well if shipping plus whatever you want for it is cheaper than one i can find, we might need to talk some business.

Dream on for finding good fender gfx for under $150. The ones i find in JYs I resell for more than that. I lucked out a few years ago and found a pair of NOS to use when I painted the car. Those cost a bit more...

If you want an inexpensive set, make some from sheetmetal. Theres a thread in the fabrication forum about a HVAC guy bending some up and they look OEM from the outside. The underside is missing but who cares, its a PITA to work around anyways
