Sunroof Moonroof or Back to Hardtop

My Camaro came with a moonroof (just a vent) when I got it. So I'm wondering what should I do about it. Should I leave it (It Leaks) or should I put an actual Sunroof that slides open and everything or back to hardtop? I figure it's a good time to figure out before I finish the bodywork.
Does anyone have pics of a sunroof on one of these third gens?

Re: Sunroof Moonroof or Back to Hardtop

If it were me (and I wasn't given the option to sell it and get a hardtop or t-top car), I'd cut a t-top roof off another car and weld it in. Sunroofs look just plain WRONG on 3rd gen's, not to mention they're probably a lot more prone to leaking than factory t-tops, with likely no replacement parts available.

If you insist on keeping a sunroof/moonroof, then yes, I'd start over. Take it to a known conversion place that isn't going out of business any time soon, and make sure it comes with a warranty.

I would go with a sunroof. I think thats pretty cool if done right. I have ttops, and love them, however it sucks having to pull over and remove, or place them back on.

Definetly get rid of the sun roof. Either go hard top or t-top. I can not stand 3rd gens with sun roofs. I've passed up perfectly good cars because of them. A good body shop should have no problem with replacing the roof...if you don't feel like you could do it. Biggest thing to remember is to brace the car before cutting.

Re: Sunroof Moonroof or Back to Hardtop

id put it back to hardtop you'd need another hard top roof and frame since they probably cut the framework in the roof and dont put the sliding one in since youd have to cut even more of the roof structure and it be risking the strength of the roof
