Those that have there engine out of there camaro... i have a question!
Hopefully someone car help me out, if you have your engine out of your car and body panels on and don't mind shutting the hood on your selves... I would like some pictures and measurements of the max clearance between a stock hood and the top of the core support. Im looking at building a air intake to fit between a stock hood and the top of the core support kind of like the TPI cars... If anyone can do this it would be greatly appreciated!

There is only a coupe inches maybe. Most of the TPI camaros that still use the stock dual air filter setup show signs of wear on the intake ducting from the hood rubbing it. So, if you can look at one of those pieces then you will get a good idea of the space, which isnt much.

Wish I would have seen this a couple of days ago, I just had the engine out of my car. Sorry man I can't help but good luck.

Put a couple of giant play-dough "mountains" on the core support, put a piece of wax paper or aluminum foil on top of them. Gently close the hood. The play- dough will squish down to the clearance height. Old trick from the hi-rise manifold guys.
