I have the chance to get an 99 4th Gen Auto Console. Now I know I have read somewhere that it has been done. I just wanted to see if anyone new the mods that needed to be done to do this?

I'm not sure of the procedure for the auto console but for the 6 speed it's a piece of cake! The hardest thing to find is a spot to put the pwr window switches and the mirror switch--if you don't have those that makes it easier! It's a direct bolt in. I've heard some guys have cut the lower part that goes under the radio pod-I didn't have to do that, just slid it right in. All bolt holes line up nice.
You might want to go to the dealer and price a 6 speed plate.
