Trouble getting fenders and hood lined up on `85 Trans Am

I am having the hardest time getting the hood and fenders lined up on the `85. It seems on the drivers side, no matter what I do the gap between the fender and hood is non-existent and scrapes. There is also a larger gap at the top compared to the bottom. On the passenger side, if I want the door to close, I have to adjust the fender so there is about a 3/8" gap between the hood and the fender. If I adjust the fender so it lines up nicely with the hood, the door no longer closes. It also has the same bigger gap at the top that the driver`s side has. Thoughts?
Go easy...I am kinda a noob.

This won't account for much, but I see jack stands under the car. The body will flex when it's on them. I adjusted my doors and fenders with the car on stands, was great, until I dropped the car down. Then the fenders rubbed, the doors hit the latch pins. And I have SFCs. That hood gap is nasty, are those gm parts?

Joe,
Thanks for the response. I am hoping to drop it off the jack stands tomorrow. I hope that is the issue! As far as I know, everything is GM. I don`t think I captured it very well in the picture above, but the hood is pressed up against the drivers side fender, while the passenger side fender is a mile away. It`s like the hood has to be shifted over, but I don`t see a way to do that.
Thanks again!

The pass fender looks a little far out. How is the door in the back? Does it line up with the jamb well? body lines? How are the hinge pins and bushings?
First thing you do is get the doors aligned, then fenders and nose, then the hood. You may have to tweak a few parts again but that is the order to get best results.
If those are the original parts to the car, there will be marks from the bolts that would be a good starting point. You will have to take the GFX off or at least loosen the fasteners in the quarters to get the fender to move forward on the bottom. . There are two bolts in the pinch weld of the rockers on the fenders you will need to loosen too. The one closet to the door is the up down adjustment, the one closer to the wheel is the in out.
