85 Z28 Steel Hood on a 84 Z28?
Greetings - -
I have a 1984 Z28, original steel hood has seen better days; showing some rust in the hidden cavities and beginning to creep. Been dinged a few times but nothing bad, the main issue is the rust that will eventally rot through to create holes. I have looked everywhere to no avail for a replacement aftermarket steel hood for the 84. I found fiberglass hoods but heard the fit badly and often delam. I have found the 1985 steel replacement hoods, and know there is a cosmetic difference with the scoops. I am wondering if that steel hood for the 85 would be a direct bolt-on for the 84. Is the hinge bolt pattern, latch, etc the same for these hoods? Is the cometic changes the only diff? Any advice is appreciated.
