Firebird headlight question

I replaced my gears and bushings in my headlights last week and went to reinstall the headlights on the car yesterday evening. The passenger side works fine. The drivers side does not go all the way down. It is about 1.5 inches from complete closure. Is it possible that the armature got out of line somewhere?

Re: Firebird headlight question

I think the motor keeps turning until the load increases and the circuit trips at high current. The headlight stops moving when the current draw of the motor goes too high (motor loads up against too much physical resistance).

Re: Firebird headlight question

Rotate the **** manually and see if it binds...mine did this because I think the bezel was hitting something.
