LS BRAKES 84 Z28

I have a 84 z28 with drums. I want to do the disk rear brake conversion. I have a entire rearend out of a 99 camaro v6. I have taken the brake lines along with the calipers & the brackets that hold them. Is there anything else off the rear that i need & is the ebrake necessary? I know i need backing plates, trying to get them from ed. Any help appreciated!

Re: LS BRAKES 84 Z28

I took all the e-brake stuff from the donor car, including the handle. The tunnel bracket was the tough part to remove, but I got it out. After grinding off the front cable mount on my car, I was able to bolt in (with the intention of welding) the LS1 bracket and use all the LS1 cables. The e-brake works great, BTW.

Re: LS BRAKES 84 Z28

I bought my rotors, backing plates, cables and rear brackets on e-Bay. Had some braided lines fabricated locally and took the rest of what I needed from a junkyard 4th gen
