NEED HELP!! LS1 front swap

I have almost got my from LS1 swap done, and while trying to put the caliper and caliper carrier on over the rotor, there is a huge gap between spindle and the carrier bolt holes. I have the complete setup that came off the LS1 car, but why is there such a big gap? how do I fix this? or are there 2 different types of rotors?

Re: NEED HELP!! LS1 front swap

do you have the appropriate adapter brackets that allow you to bolt the ls1 calipers and abutments to the stock spindle? because they dont just bolt together you know.

the ls1 bracket adapter is 3/8" thick, is that the space you have?

Re: NEED HELP!! LS1 front swap

yes I have everything i needed for the swap. i modified a stock set of spindles and i have put on the adapter bracket. to me it looks like i have the wrong rotors because the offset doesn look big enough on them. does anyone have the proper part number for the correct rotors?

Re: NEED HELP!! LS1 front swap

I discovered that the problem is the hubs i bought arent machined down far enough. so the rotor doesn go all the way on.

Re: NEED HELP!! LS1 front swap

try taking them to a place that cuts/resurfaces rotors - you may be able to get them to bevel just a little bit off the top edge (unless they are way too big), may save you some time and money over taking them to a machine shop

Re: NEED HELP!! LS1 front swap

Thanks for the tip. I was able to bring them back to the guy I bought them off of as he has a machine shop and he re-did them for me no problem. It turns out he machined the hubs to C5 rotor specs. LS1 and C5 rotors are slightly different internal diameter.
