1988 IROC-Z Convertible, 357, 5speed
I am selling my camaro, I have done alot of work to is since I have owned it, and took pride in doing it all, I didnt cut corners, and this is not a car I bought just to 'flip'. I built this car with myself in mind, and built her right. She has alot of "uncommon", or "desireable" options, including: Factory A/C Delete, Convertible, Canadian instrumentation, T5 transmission. VERY low miles since installing new motor, and rearend. Engine isnt even broken in yet! ALL fluids have been changed, and are new (I mean all!). Every time I drive this car, I get so much attention, everyone looking at me, talking to me about it, pointing, etc. This car is an attention grabber for sure. The car will most likely have a set of 85-87 IROC wheels on it before it sells.
Things that need attention:
Needs a paintjob, and a little body work. Speedo needs to be hooked up, I bought a brand new cable, just needs installed. Top leaks in the rain, and the back window is junk. Fuel gauge reads high, 1/2 tank is actually about 1/3 tank. The motor needs a good tuning, it runs and drives fine, I drive it whenever I need to go somewhere, its just a little jumpy when you just start driving it, but evens out after driving it for a bit, not bad, though.

$4600.
I think I know why it runs erratically, I will be replacing the distributor with a brand new MSD unit, and adding a carb adapter plate.

Bump.
Car runs awesome, and is very powerful, should be tuned by someone who knows what they're doing. Car runs and drives fine, can be driven anywhere, needs to be tuned.

Bump.
Engine has less than 200 miles on it, and so do MANY of the other parts.

Either the carb is too small for the motor, or the spark plugs are fouled, or the plug wires are burned. Fires right up, idles great will idle all day long, drives fantastic, until you want to drive fast, than the engine bogs and misses.
Tired of pouring money into it!!

Re: 1988 IROC-Z Convertible, 357, 5speed
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Just replaced the plug wires with MSD brand wires, and put some wire seperators in to top it off, we'll see how long they last. Yeah, I will let you know if theres anything I need help with. Its not real likely considering I just did the motor/tranny/rearend/brakes/suspension stuff probably 1-2 months ago, but I always like meeting, and making friends with new 3rd gen enthusiasts!
