1987 IROC-Z TPI Project Car $1500 obo !!!SOLD!!!
(edit; I will sell the car for $1100, but I keep the Magnaflow cat-back)
Hey guys,
I don't have time for a project car anymore, so hopefully my car can find a new home with one of the dedicated members here. As seen in my profile, it is a 1987 IROC-Z, 305 TPI. I picked it up in NJ about 3 years back, it ran just fine, didn't smoke or anything, it was a very strong car. Originally it was white with a red interior. It is now in primer, as I was planning to strip it down to the metal and start fresh, but never got there. I don't have seats for it, I tossed the beat up red ones out a while ago. I installed new black carpet about a year and a half ago, as well as a bunch of black interior pieces. Keep in mind, the whole time i was doing this the car was never driven. This was pretty much the next area I was about to work on.
Anyways, about a month ago, I installed a complete new exhaust system. This includes Hooker 2055 headers (painted) (around $450), Magnaflow catalytic converter (about $75 dollars), and a 3" Magnaflow cat-back exhaust (about $440). While I was at it, I also installed AC Delco platinum plugs ($50), MSD Super Conductor wires ($70), new NGK O2 sensor, Accel dizzy cap, and a few other decorative pieces like an IROC-Z TB cover and spark plug wire organizers. Like I said, all these parts are brand new (about 1 month old) and have never seen the road.
The engine has 140k miles, it runs, and I can fire it up, but the timing needs to be set, and it dies after a few seconds. I was messing with the timing a while back, and didn't have the experience to set it again. Noob mistake, after I pulled the dizzy, I realized I was in a bit over my head. Umm...lets see...what else. I did a serpentine swap from a 1992 Z28, with complete A/C and a brand new belt. Car also has new brake pads. Tires on the front are at about 80% life left, and back tires are brand new, never been on the road.
If you have any questions, or would like more pics, feel free to PM me. I am looking to sell this car ASAP. Obviously, as it doesn't have seats or a PA inspection, it would need to be towed. Also, I have photo documentation from start to where I am currently on this project, which I would give to you with the car. It also verifies that everything I said I put on the car, I actually put on the car.

If anyone is interested, I will sell the car with everything listed EXCEPT the Magnaflow cat-back for $1100. I'd like to hang onto it, but it's up to the buyer.
