1992 Camaro RS, 305, 5spd, T-top, 33,400 ORIGINAL miles!
I finally decided to let her go. This is my first car that I bought (or my family bought) when I was 16. I was the 2nd owner and the car only had 9,400 miles on it! The V8, 5speed, and t-tops had me sold.
This car was my baby. I would clean it every morning before school, take it to car shows and treat that car like it was a princess. While working at Wal-Mart, I would put every bit of money into it.
The modifications include Jet-Hot coated Edelbrock headers, high-flow cat, Edelbrock catback exhaust, Lakewook lower control arms, sub-frame connectors, strut tower brace, Accel 300+ ignition and race wires, Bosch platinum plugs, underdrive pulleys, 140 amp chrome alternator, throttle body injector spacer, chrome top K&N 14x3 open element air filter, centerforce stage II clutch, stripped and painted stock valve covers an anodized purple color that turned out better than I was expecting, aluminum thermostat housing, SS hose covers (looks good but the real deal would be better). I would always use Royal Purple 5w30.
When I went away to college, I needed to find a car that I could drive in the winter. The years have come and gone and my Camaro just sat home in the garage. This car needs to be driven. She needs a new home. Since the car has just been sitting for so long, I would highly recommend a tune up. Some fuel system cleaner would help too because the last time I started it, the idle seemed to stay on the high side too long. The car also needs to have the speedometer checked out because I noticed that it was not working when I took it out last time (almost two years ago). There is about two additional miles over what the odometer says. I was going to get it fixed before I sold it, but that has been going on almost two years now. The car also has some little scratches here and there and a couple small dings from things bumping into it while stored in the garage but nothing too noticeable.
With minimal work, you could have a low mileage, 25th anniversary Camaro that is show car worthy. I always got plenty of compliments and stares. It's time to let someone else enjoy the car as much as I have.
$7,500 OBO.
More pictures are available upon request. The car is garaged in La Salle, IL.
