Car: 92 Z-28
Engine: L98
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3:23 Positraction
1992 B4C/1LE CAMARO Z-28
PRICE REDUCED 1992 B4C/1LE Camaro Z-28. Car is located in Austin, TX. 1/589.
Artic White; Gray leather interior (very rare on a B4C intended for the highway patrol fleet). B2L 5.7 TPI 350/ 4L60 corvette auto transmission. Full power interior except the seat. Never issued to a highway patrol unit. In private collections since leaving Van Nuys. Now has 8661 miles.
The 1992 B4C option cost $3,479 on top of the RS Coupe base list price of $12,075. It included the G92 Performance Axle package, which necessitated the choice of the LB9 305 with five (5)-speed manual transmission or the B2L 350 with four (4)-speed automatic transmission. The B4C option with the 350 V-8 cost $4,309. With either engine, the performance dual catalytic converter exhaust system was included, along with air conditioning, 16-inch aluminum wheels mounted with 245/50ZR16 blackwall tires. New for 1992 was the inclusion of Corvette-style front brake calipers to four (4)-wheel disc brakes. Features still included an engine oil cooler, 105-amp alternator, heavy-duty 630 cold-crank-amp battery, heavy-duty electrical systems for the amount of gadgets that will be put into the car by the police department. 145-mile per hour speedometer, Z28 suspension, and the limited-slip 3.23:1 differential rear axle. The package included the base UM7 radio which could be deleted for credit, and new for 1992, a UM6 radio could be ordered. Available with Group FCAB only. Other options available were RPO codes AC3 (after March 1992), AU3, A31, B84, C49, DG7, K05 and K34. Chevrolet built 589 RS Coupes with "B4C" equipment for 1992.
Appraised for $ 27,500.00 8 years ago. A previous owner put an aluminum driveshaft in it. It has the dual battery option as well. The 105 amp/hr alternator works well. Car was recently serviced and checked out front to rear. Freon in A/C may need to be checked again. Electric window motors may be weak. Common to this era of GM cars. Has a Corsa cat-back. sounds great and looks original.
Recently detailed by a paint specialist. He mentioned a chip on the drivers mirror and a chip to the front spoiler. Always stored inside, never driven in rain. Paint shines like new. Still smells new inside.
Factory crayon marks still visible on inspection points. Full museum quality documentation on all four (4) owners included. Window sticker shows Chevrolet Special Service Package with 5.7 TPI, build sheet, 1st in class trophy at Firebird Raceway included. Pictures of this Camaro on the car hauler with 5 other B4C's being unloaded from Chevrolet at Bob McDorman Chevrolet in Ohio also included in sale. I have two (2) sets of wheels and tires for the car. Chrome Z-28 wheels with brand new BFG Z rated radials on car. Original rims with original Gatorbacks included in sale.
PRICE REDUCED $19,500.00 OBO Please contact me by PM or text (512) 917-1178 if you have any questions or need more info. Contact me for terms of sale. Hagerty price guide shows a 1992 Z-28 in #1 condition at $28,000.00. . SOLD.

From what I have read on the B4C, it is a Z28, with RS badges. This was done to make the cars look like a lower trim model. Unless you know something I don't.
I have always wanted one of these cars!

Thank you backinblack for knowing your stuff. It is quoted in just about every Chevrolet Police car book. RS on the window sticker-Z-28 on the title. Yes it was done to save money on fleet insurance by Chevrolet.

Beautiful car! I also have a white 1992 B4C 1LE, except mine doesn't have the leather interior, it has the cloth, and the hood was replaced with a Z28 hood!
And of course yours has way less mileage! I think the price is worth every penny! I paid $10,500 for mine with 89k miles on it!

No problem brother! It's called research, and not just being all Captain Obvious, when you don' t REALLY know. I thought that the B4C used the just used RS badges, to appear less like a unit. I didn' t know it was also done for insurance purposes.

Mine also was never put "into service" from my research in 1992, 5 out of the 589 were never put into service. I know of 3 now, mine, yours and this other one I found online, which I have the link http://www.mcsmk8.com/92-B4C-CAMARO/92-B4C-CAMARO.html

I would have thought all B4C's where white, but I forgot not only TX used them! Since TX DPS vehicles are black and white! Shoot I sure wish I had the money to buy your car! But I had to sell my 92 z28 heritage edition to get my current b4c, wife wouldn't let me have both! UGH!

The number 5 is interesting. I mention in my add that I have a picture of 6 B4C/1LE's being unloaded at Bob McDorman Chevrolet. Mine is the only white one. Now I know of two white one's here. I have seen the link you sent on the one in Dallas. I also saw a red one sell on auto trader. I would love to know the actual number.

I believe the 5 he is mentioning is for the 1992 B4C's, at least that's how I understood him! But this B4C has leather interior, I've never seen or heard of one with leather! Man I sure wish I could hit the lottery because that's the only way my wife will let me have another 1992 B4C! LOL!

I had a change of heart after getting it out and washed up. I promised topduarte first shot if I change my mind again. I'll make a note of you others too if he declines at some future time. I go through these phases every once in a while, and someday I might actually go through with it. I'm surprised by the response from just a comment though.
