Couple things.

Was it somehow possible in 1992 to get a 1LE WITH A/C?

GM did not install the roll bar so its not "factory"

It does have a BBK TB on it and new Bosch III injectors

Any history on this car?

I put the tb an injectors on it an I have the build sheet and it came with Ac and the roll bar from what I can tell. It was an old state trooper car

the a/c was an available option on the b4c 1le cars. the roll bar was not a factory option but was installed by some police agencies.

The only 1LE's (non B4C) that we have come across (so far) that were produced with A/C were the Formulas destined for Firehawk production 9 in 1991 and 11 in 1992 according to Compnine. They also carried RPO code B4U.

you might want to google "1992 CHP camaro" and you will see my car, along with the other 19 that were purchased by the California Highway Patrol in 1992. all of them were delivered with a/c.

Part of the reason there's so much confusion about things like this, is because people post things without really knowing. There's so much incorrect in your post, that I'm not going to bother correcting it. If anyone wants to really know what 1LE, G92, or B4C mean, they can do a search.

Yes, that is the only way you could get A/C WITH a 1LE car was either with the B4C Police option OR with the B4U Firehawk option code. It is one of 576 B4C cars built in 1992 ALL of which had A/C. The 1LE (non B4C) cars did not get A/C but did get the JG1 Aluminum Drive Shaft - they built 109 of those.
