Great car. I wouldn't change a thing other than a good detailing and tune-up/servicing/repairs.

Re: Very Rare 1991 Camaro Z/28 B4C 6spd for sale

I'm pretty interested in this car but dont know much about them. I'm a huge camaro lover and basically created an account here after lurking for a really long time just to comment on this thread. I'm in Austin texas and I'd really like to know more about the car. I have just enough saved to buy it and it would take me a little while to save up some more to fix it up so I am just cautious as I'm afraid of getting burned. Is there any video of the car running?

Don't feel bad, the seller obviously doesn't know much about the cars either. This car is really far from being a collector grade car. For the money, and the cost of restoration, a person would be much further ahead to buy a preserved B4C instead of trying to bring this one back.

Aside from that, the seller's description is a mess. GM didn't special build these cars beyond taking a normal 91 Z28 and building the car with the base RS body styling and badges. Originally this car was a 350/auto. Someone put the TPIS Mini-ram on it after the fact, along with the 6spd swap (Borg Warner T56, in no way related to Doug Nash), and other mods like the Iroc wheels from an 85-87.

The collector value generally associated with B4Cs went out the window when this car was considerably modified and beaten to a pulp. People have parted out and crushed nicer B4Cs in the classifieds here in just the last year or so.

Car: basic third gens
Engine: that I like
Transmission: to restore
Axle/Gears: and enjoy
Re: Very Rare 1991 Camaro Z/28 B4C 6spd for sale

I have to stick up for this person... well, their Camaro. Is the description a good and accurate one? No. Does the car have nice shiny paint that seems to be a lot of peoples' focus? No. Is it a good solid car with a rust free body? YES! Does the car have several desirable parts that would make it a hoot to drive? It most certainly does!! I can't comment on the price, as I come from the land of rust and it's a very different world. But I'd bet the asking price is negotiable.

Not everybody wants a rare and pure third gen. This car looks like it would be fun to play with. One of the best things about third gen ownership is driving them and having fun doing it... I think a lot of us forget that.

Re: Very Rare 1991 Camaro Z/28 B4C 6spd for sale

Hope the car goes to a good owner. This would be a fun project car. If the car is rust free it's very save worthy. Just don't expect to get the $$$$ back if selling the car afternoon saving.

Need headers can't understand why someone would put a miniram on the car and keep stock manifolds.

Make me wish I hadn't put a 416 in my 99TA this year - would have took a shot at saving the car.

I think I actually got to work on that car in the late 90s if it was a trooper car at the time. unless there was more than 1 in texas in the dfw area

I think a Shady Tree would be more in keeping with the current condition of the car.

If we had Garage space, I would probably offer $4,500

This one had the factory install a ZF 6-spd.
Here's the GM factory tag!

No. It really didn't. 1) That's not a ZF6 or a Doug Nash anything, it's a Borg Warner T56 from a 93-97 Camaro or Firebird. Anyone that can run a Google image search can see that. 2) We can verify the RPO codes that GM used to identify the parts used when the car left the factory from the VIN number. That car left the factory a 350/automatic car.

Look for a sucker somewhere else. Around here we aren't going to let someone fall for a bunch of used car salesman crap.

There was never a factory 6 speed f-body 82-92.
The pictures are very clear that it's not a zf6 speed.

only 82-92 to get a 6 speed was a gm prototype in 92 , and im sure you dont own that. plus for some reason this car has a LT1 oil pan , so im sure the engine has been out. this thing is a hackfest.

That is most likely a GEN1 SBC oilpan from a grate engine. I bought a GM crate engine once and it had an oil pan that had provsions for a low oil level sensor.

Re: Very Rare 1991 Camaro Z/28 B4C 6spd for sale

ok I'm not a Camaro guy but I've been watching this thread and doing some research on the b4c and there seem to be ALOT of questionable things with this car. service cars were usually ordered the correct color, not painted after the fact (evidence under the gas cap and under the hood show it has been repainted). the mini ram is not stock. incorrect transmission. no factory badges anywhere on the car. the fog lights seem to be missing or painted over. all very curious things... RPO codes would clear up a lot

How much for the 70-73 firebird in the backround?
Hopefully it's not a "rare" package like this baby.

Probably not a good idea to try and pass off a cobbled up fake on a site full of enthusiast some of which knows every detail to every option offered every year imo.

A couple more things. 1 - Those inspection stickers are old as hell, we havent used those in years, that thing must have been sitting there for past 3 years untouched - how about some new pictures. 2 - I cant remember the last time Ive seen a texas trooper car with a white door. They were all black, with white tops and hoods if i remember. Assuming this is an all-texas car. Cities are allowed to go white though.

I just hope it don't get passed of to some unsuspecting person thinking they got something special. I admit it has some cool parts I'd like to have myself but it needs to be advertised as what it really is. Lots of younger folks dream of having one of these.

Re: Very Rare 1991 Camaro Z/28 B4C 6spd for sale

In all fairness, we tried to be nice, we didn't really speak up until the seller repeatedly misrepresented the car. If a seller makes a reasonable effort to actually research a car before trying to sell it as something "rare" or "special", we're really very supportive of the seller.

As a general rule, anything that is truly rare will speak for itself. We know what to look for.

Re: Camaro Z/28 B4C 6spd for sale

There were 4 requests for RPO codes, first one 2 weeks ago. And he hasnt come back in a couple of days. Maybe this was just an account for selling a fake cop car.

Codes found:

http://topclassiccarsforsale.com/che...-b4c-6spd.html

BTW, the VIN on the above webpage says this camaro is a 2003 silverado. pretty cool.

yeah the vin on the sticker doesn't match the vin listed on the ad... I guess as long as A sticker says b4c that's all that counts right? maybe he will glue it to the camaro.
