91 Z28 - Heavily modded, but completely sorted and fun as hell
1991 Z28 Camaro, L98 TPI, T-56, 3.73
It looks great from any angle and will not disappoint. Do not expect to find perfect scratch and chip free paint. It's original paint mostly (no clearcoat peeling), and I've thoroughly enjoyed it and never had to worry about parking at the far corner of the lot to avoid scratches. So is the interior and chassis. Almost no rust (some on the hatch above the license plate area, none in the wheels wells. No cracks at all in any interior part, including the original dashboard, and all armrests.
I bought the car in 1997 and all of the modifications were done between then and when I sold it in 2001. The fact that it’s been driven regularly without any mechanical issues should indicate the reliability of the car. I bought it back in 2010, and now it just doesn’t get driven enough anymore.
Needs tires. The ones that are on it are fine to drive it home, and quite a bit more depending on your driving style. The headliner has no holes, but is sagging and could use re-attached. The car has an aftermarket sunroof (no leaks), and that holds up the headliner.
I have an overwhelming amount of records, receipts and pictures from all of the different modifications that were done. The odometer reads around 156,000 miles, but this is because the first speedometer buffer box (after T56 conversion) floated, requiring constant re-adjustment, so the other owner just used his GPS, and as soon as the car was over 40mph, it pegged the speedo at 150mph. That adds up quickly. Actual mileage I would estimate is close to 85,000.
As far as the road manners, it never fails to start, runs fine on 87 octane. It’s more of a corner carver than a straight line machine, and that will be obvious the first time you drive it
The bigger mods are listed on the attached picture, but countless small things like the hood insulation and under-hood reservoir tanks and everything have been replaced. All lights/signals work, power seats, power mirrors.
