Re: Blue IROC 5 Speed
I found my Blue Five Speed.. Its a 1989 Loaded Five Speed IROC.. All Original and a nice driver. I was planning on finding a perfect car like Dan's 85 L69. But I found out very fast that when your looking for a Blue, Five Speed and Loaded Options, they don't come up very often .I will drive it for the year and then our team at Mascar Classics will do a complete restoration on her.
Thanks

BTW - I think I considered that same blue car you bought. Did it come from Illinois by chance? I bought this one in Wisconsin and had to drive a bit for it but it was worth it as it has 77k miles on it.

Re: Blue IROC 5 Speed
Yes, I received the louvers late last week. I'm away this week but hope to get to installing them next week. Gotta love Blue IROCs with louvers! I found mine on Craigslist Wisconsin, I think it was there a few weeks. I think it was fairly priced for a hard to find, loaded, G92 5-speed car with lower miles and zero rust ever. I did see yours on Chicago craigslist and thought about pulling the trigger on that one after trading emails with the owner but decided to wait it out for a lower mile car - then this one popped up. Incidentally, I don't know of any others but haven't really been looking hard either now that I found one.

I did a search across Craigslist boards. I had been using Google then on a whim tried Yahoo one night and it popped up on Craigslist Wisconsin. It had been up on that board for two months when I found it.

That's funning, that's the same way I found mine! I woke up one morning and said to myself, there has to be a way to do a nation way craigslist search. I was searching Google and my car was the second on the list. I was searching images and the craigslist cars never come up. Starting restoration, super clean car.

Wow, you work fast. I hope you start a build thread on it.

Yeah, I'd like to see that build thread also.
To search multiple craigslist boards you can use this example syntax, it's how I found mine;
blue iroc site:craigslist.org

Re: Blue IROC 5 Speed
There was one near me on Craigslist for sale when I bought mine (Blue, TPI, 5-Speed, T-Top, 6k Miles) guy wanted $24k.. I got my Vert much cheaper and always wanted a Vert..
They pop up and I find a lot of blue ones so I’ll let you know if I see anything good.. I’m always looking because I’ll probably get another thirdgen at some point..

Re: Blue IROC 5 Speed
Few more questions on the undercoating. Did you spray the coating or roll it on? Also did you mix if as directed or add anything to thin it more? One last one how many coats did you do?
Thanks
Thanks
