Check out ebay for Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine and such.

Most all the decks that are worth any $$ are around $150+
ebay has things a little cheaper than thezeb.com
also check out www.mmxpress.com

...from what I understand if you are planning to "amp" your speakers, then all you need is a head unit with RCA pre-outs....personally I am really happy with my Koss MP3/CD deck, it works and sounds great and has pre-outs for the front, back and subwoofer control w/full color display, a remote, and aux. in jack on the faceplate, you can find them on ebay for like $80....(I've previously had a Pioneer DEH-P645 40Wx4 Cd player was nice but didn't support cd-rw and mp3s, Blaupunkt ACD 2900 Cd-Plyaer 30Wx4, and Pioneer KEH-3600 35Wx4)...my koss HU is by far my favorite....
I just bought an Aiwa head unit from Best Buy for $99.99 on sale yesterday and it included a free cd $13.99 or under of my choice. It is 45WX4. . . 180W total power and does the job nicely. Has pre-outs for system expansion too.
Cheapest one I ever got was an Audiophase 40WX4 from Best buy on sale for 50 bucks. (Black Friday sale)
Both are CD players.
