Bench testing amps, simulate signal wire?

I'd like to test some amps, without taking mine out of my car and putting these in. I have a power supply, but I'm clueless as to how to get the amp to turn on. I know that there is a signal wire that I have hooked up to my power antenna lead on the radio, and I've also rigged it up under the radio fuse on the fuse black before.

What can I hook up to this to get the amp to tun on?

it is called a "remote" wire, just run it from the positive side of your power supply.

like he said, all that is is a relay for the high current power. A small loop wire from the battery to the remote terminal will do the trick.

use a discman with a 3.5mm to stereo RCA cable for an input signal....keep the gain low, until you get the sound or voltage you need!

Straight from the 12v + to the wire? I didn't think it could be that easy
