amp choice?

Your best choice is:
1. Name brand amp
2. Spend as much as you can afford, but don't spend less than $200.
Those two things, together, will guarantee that you get good, clean sound. Spend $60 on a "3000 watt amp" and you'll destroy those 6x9 beauties in no time- the distortion will ruin them. Don't think that since those Pioneer speakers are rated 120 rms/400 peak watts that you need to push 120 rms/400 peak watts to them!
Oh and don't expect much bass out of them if you're putting them into an f-body... the sail panels aren't going to give you good bass.
Shop online stores like crutchfield.com or bestbuy.com and then hit the local stores and start haggling. And don't go cheap on wires, either. Spend at least $30 for a set of preamp cords. I've heard too many systems with expensive amps/speakers that sounded like total crap because the guy bought $5 wires.
