rear speakers

how can i get my rear speakers to stop ratteling when they hit? i just got 2 new lightning audio 6x9s. should i put some rubber padding behind them? like wehre the speaker touches the body?

check around because rattles can be sneeky
look in the doors and crap for loose stuff

I put a foam tape around mine then put them in the holes.Worked well.

yea.. anything that has some sort of .. i wanna say mass but um softness will absorb some of the rattle

I had a problem with the rubber flaps on the back of the door vent. They come off easily. Funny thing is that it only made noise on the drivers side. Once I had it off no more noise.

Yeah, try putting rubber padding behind the screws to stop the vibration. Depending on how hard your speakers hit you could look into dynomat.
