RM610E Cockpit Radio install

I'm installing one of my RM610E units in my 87 Camaro. I have 2 of these (1 brand new, this one is not that one. This is a rebuilt used one with upgraded amplifier electronics and stuff). I also have 2 RM710s but they are a more modern looking with touch buttons. I like this one better as it suits the interior of the car a lot better. Lots of cute ***** and lights LOL

I have gauges in the factory location. It sounds pretty good, I had it rebuilt with all upgraded stuff in the amp that goes with it.

Re: RM610E Cockpit Radio install

Depending on condition quite a bit. They were oem spec on Lotus Esprit Essex and early dry sump cars and they also came in some ferraris and lamborghinis I think. I have seen them go for well over 1K depending on model. 710s are more expensive commonly than 610s, E (with equalizer) is also more than a non equalizer model. There's also a lower spec 310. Some shitroëns came with these also. The Lotus ones are commonly modified, they saw off a piece of the back to make it fit the roof.

I got mine from all over the globe but none in the US. Germany & Italy are the best bet and I've seen some for sale in Brazil and Mexico

Re: RM610E Cockpit Radio install

Looks like his text translates to:

"Hi I wanted to know if the 2 710rm cockpits are still available. If you would like to sell one is at what price. Waiting for your answer possibly in Italian greetings."

Re: RM610E Cockpit Radio install

Sorry to dig up the post, i've since got a RM-310, RM-610, RM-700 & 710, and looking at putting a 710 in my '87 GTA. Where did you mount the amplifier for it? The factory Panasonic cable doesn't give too much give on a 3rd gen roof :/ I'm looking into an aftermarket amplifier for one, but they do have that oddly specific amplifier plug, maybe can get that little plug made up?

I realize I'm coming into this conversation late.
I own a Panasonic RM 610
I am also looking to purchase the Panasonic RM 710
I know you didn't mention anything about selling your RM 710 but figured years has past since this post. Was hoping to contact you and see if you are willing to sell it now.

Please contact me and let me know either way.
Thank you

He mentioned pretty bluntly that he does not have them anymore. They very sporadically and rarely show up on eBay, and now you can expect to pay well over a thousand for one of these units now.
