CD Player will not play CDs

I got a Jensen CD515K CD player about 7 months ago and installed it myself. It was working perfect up until now, then all of the sudden it starts to say Error-4, which was a disc focus error or something like that. So I press the reset button like it says in the manual and it doesn't help it at all. The radio and everything works fine. I called the manufacturer and they said it may be due to low voltage and to check the ground wire. Well I checked all my wiring and it looks all good to me. Should I take the ground wire out of the wire harness and put it directly onto the chassis itself? Or is there someplace I can check to see if the ground wire has been shaken off or something like that? It doesn't even sound like the CD spins at all. Its really frustrating since I spent a ton of money on my system.... and i hate the radio...

I spent $220 on the CD player, I don't have a CD changer. Then i bought an amp and 2 subs (not jensen products), thats how it got expensive. If you can't help me out, then why say anything at all? I just thought maybe someone with a similar problem might know what to do, rather than attempt to make jokes at my problem

Are they normal cds or CD-RWs, CD-Rs? Some decks are picky with those.

Try grounding it to the chassis. Make sure you are using an audio CD, not a CD-R as mentioned in the last post.

If that doesn't fix it, then I suggest you get it repaired.

Alright, I got some great news- I found my recepit!!! Thank God for that. All I can say is if you buy anything from Jensen keep that receipt in a lockbox and do not buy a Jensen head unit just because it fits flush in the console, Pioneer makes a much better "din and a half" GM head unit, but thanks for your posts!
