Stopped in my friendly neighborhood Pep Boys today to buy some car detailing stuff, and on a whim, I picked up a boxed set of 8" subs & tweets for $35... just something cheap to put in the back since my 6x9's are blown. Got home, hooked it up to my amp and went for a drive. 80 mph on I-26, top down, turned it up, and my ears are still ringing! People were rolling their windows up as I passed! (not sure if it was due to the volume or the choice of music... I was playing my glam rock compilation, and Warrant was almost as loud as at the concert) The sound clarity isn't really there, but it sure sounds a damn sight better than factory. Think I've stumbled onto a good hold me over... if they get swiped.... hell, they were only $35!!

Like I said... just to hold me over. I got tired of listening to the rear speakers crackling, the front don't have much of a range to them, and I don't have the $$ to purchase the subs I have picked out yet. In any case, pretty much anything is an improvement over the stuff that's in there!
