Questions about modifying a carbureted camaro
My friend has an 84 camaro z28, with a 305 and a 5 speed manual transmission. He wants to know which mods to make to his car first, He doesn't know much about cars, he just wants to make it faster, not an all out drag car just wants some more GO.

If LG4, air cleaner (L69 has a good piece). If emissions is a question, dual snorkel. Otherwise, an open element will work fine for few $'s.
Exhaust: Headers, high-flow y-pipe, cat, & cat-back.
Cam: Most any aftermarket will be better than the factory's. Roller tip or full roller rockers.
Gears: If not 3.73's now, that helps get you moving. Posi if currently an open unit.
Really getting into it: Heads. World Products S/R Torquer 305s.
That'll get him moving along pretty good. Beyond that, swap in a 350.
