Tuning new Holley based on Current Edelbrock Tuning-am I on the right track?
Plan on intstalling my Street Avenger fully tuned with the exception of the idle circuit. Based on how much leaner my edelbrock carb is set, I plan on changing out the jets on the Holley to the same percentage lean for the primaries. Also, my car has the staging for the "power stage" on my edelbrock set at the 8" HG springs(silver) and runs great with no bogs, does that mean I should put in a "85" (8.5) power valve? I plan on tuning the secondaries at the track, both the opening rate and the jetting. How does this sound so far? Any tips?
BTW what A/F ratio is the idle normally at? Is it supposed to be a little rich? Cause mine is, on my A/F gauge, and it seems to work good. I set it off of vacuum and rpm and it always is in the green area of my gauge(rich) is this right?

Being an old time Holley guy here, the best suggestion I have is don't do anything to it until you drive it. Not knowing where you're at makes it impossible to anticipate where you're going.

Couldn't agree more.
Take it out of the box and bolt it on.
Then, you'll be starting out on the "right track".
