Anyone tell me what carb I have.
Hey got this holley for free the other day when I picked up my 400. only thing that I could find that would ID it is a number on the base 12R-4770B. There is no choke provision and it has vac secondary. If you need a photo to ID let me put it back together and I will snap a few. thanks

If it looks just like the one in the picture RB posted, it doesn't have vac. secondaries.
If the "4770B" came off of the baseplate, unless it has a strange mix and match of parts, that narrows it down to the 650-800 cfm double pumper as 4770 is the part number for the baseplate, IIRC.

I guess the best way to do this is to get a picture. now this is just cobbled back to gether as when I got it it was loosely assembled. although all pieces were here it needs a rebuild.

Current production carbs have their numbers here.... yours obviously doesn't... so it's just a matter of looking at the pieces it's built out of, and the assembly is merely the sum of those parts....

Re: Anyone tell me what carb I have.
i have one with same stamp and its a 4150 series 750cfm model 4779-7 shiny metal mechanical linkage. i have come to believe that many square bores use the same base plate. also size can easily be determined by the last digit of the model number ie: 477"9" is a 750 cfm and 477"8" is a 700cfm etc. here is a good link i found...

Good info, but I'm not sure if the original poster still needs the information 8 years later...
