AIR injection into CATS with aftermarket Carb

I was wondering for you guys that went with an aftermarket carb and non-computer distibutor, has anyone tried to retain the CATS with the air-injection into them (which is computer controlled in the original system). I'm guessing that most people just took it all off and didn't worry about it. I installed new cats with the exhaust system. I know they work better with air injection. I still have the original ccc Qjet but and strongly considering an aftermarket carb and distributor. Just curious about what people do with this if they eliminate the computer.

Thanks,
Pete

You can keep the air pump just take computer controled head off and get the y fitting off an old truck I used one off a 83 3/4 ton its simple fix but I did it a long time ago hope that helps

Thanks for the suggestion Blown84. They did use air injection for a number of years before the electronic control. Didn't occur to me.

AIR doesn't do that much with modern catalytic converters, one of the reasons it's not seen anymore.

OK. Well the CATS are not really new; very low miles but I probably bought them in 2003 and they do have fittings for AIR. Depends on how "modern" they are. Thanks for the input.
