Rebuilt Q-jet from National Carburetors has weird grains on it
Hi all, new member here.
I searched w/ numerous terms to try to find an answer to my following question.
I just received a rebuilt E4ME Q-jet from National Carburetors and it has some salt-like crystals on it. I was just wondering if this was normal or not.
It looks just like salt or sugar but I dare not taste it!
Is this some kind of solvent or chemical used to try to remove as much fuel in the carb as possible before shipping it out? (They bench test their rebuilt carbs on engines I believe).
Thanks for your help!
