Re: TBI to Carb parts

Keep the TV & throttle cables- they will work.
You will need a geometry corrector.
Go to
BowtieOverdrive & look at what they have as far as brackets,
they may have geometry correctors, IDK.
The carb you use will determine which corrector to use.

There are a few companies that make correctors & brackets,
you can look at places like Jegs, Summit, Streetsideauto etc.
All depends on what you prefer.
No lecture, but 850 carb will give dismal results unless you have a big
cam, heads, intake, exhaust, etc.
It's your ride, do as you like. Good luck

Re: TBI to Carb parts

IDK what to tell you about ECM removal.
There are a few threads about doing it.
Ours was taken out by a PO at some point.

Prepare to be lectured...

A 1990 truck 350 can use about 450 CFM. An 850 double barrel carb would be completely insane (if such a thing even exists). An 850 double pumper carb (which does exist) on that engine would make the car a complete dog.

You want power? Then let's start building that 350. Chuck the heads. Chuck the cam. Start saving your nickles and dimes for a forged crank, rods, and pistons. Get AFR 220 heads - well, you may need the 235's. The cam will need to spin the engine to 8400 RPMs to use all 850 CFM. You're going to need the best valvetrain money can buy. A Victor intake manifold will be required. Did I mention the ~$2k you're going to have to spend on exhaust? Forget driving the thing on the street.

Now, are you willing to get real?
