Henry Fok ("85xj6@dallasdrivers.org" <85xj6@dallasdrivers.org>) = scam
It's a hard for a man to come to grips with; however, I have come to the conclusion that I've been had.
I responded to an ad on Feb 22nd/04 in the thirdgen classfieds for a clutch set; $80 for clutch, pressure plate, pilot tool....settled on $100 shipped. I sent a money order the next day; he wouldn't take Paypal:

Okay, so how does $100 USD shipped sound? I can send the money ASAP via Paypal if you have an account.
OK, sounds good to me.
PayPal is currently having problems with my account and I’d rather not complicate the situation.
I’d prefer a money order or other certified funds sent to my mailing address -

I’ll take a personal check, but it would have to clear before I shipped it.
Should have known something was up
A week later the money arrived, and the parts were to be shipped the same night:

It arrived today, I will go deposit it and ship either tonight or tomorrow morning.
I inquired several times for a tracking number; there was no response to my email. After a week and a half, I got this:

Sorry I didn't reply earlier - I just got back into town. Let me go find the
number and I'll email it to you in a few minutes.
Needless to say, there was no tracking number provided; I have sent an email everyday since then asking what's going on, and there have been no replies. I wrote my final email a couple of days ago:
Alright man, what's the deal? I haven't got the parts, a response, or much less a tracking number and am beginning to feel that I'm getting screwed.
As detailed below, I have been patient...however, it's running thin right now. I will give until the end of the week; if I don't get,
a) an email explaining the hold up, and
b) a tracking number, or
c) a phone call to explain why I have not been contacted,
I will:
1) Post negative feedback on the thirdgen.org vendor site
2) Post negative feedback on the jagsource.org vendor site
3) Launch a complaint with http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp
4) Add your name to this thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=190986

It is the end of the week, and still no response; therefore, I will make good on my threat, beginning with this post.....
Also, he has some sort of affiliation with jagsource.org.....I just tried following though there, and they canned my account...punks.
The money doesn't bother me; I got a $5k raise last week, so it's a wash...but writing and rewriting the same email like some greasy snot nosed punk looking for a hand out does...all debts get paid, my man.
You've been warned.

...no sooner than I had posted did the situation get resolved:
Attached is a scan of the reshipment. I am about to call you to explain why
it took so damned long. The USPS Insured Mail (www.usps.gov) is VA 336 217
400 US, and should arrive in four to six days since it was sent airmail.
BTW, FedEx won't take ground shipments without a previously established
account...

...in summary, here is the explaination as provided by Mr. Fok:
For the record, several things happened. First, I shipped it to you, but made a silly error in the address, so it came back. Unfortunately, shortly after it returned, I moved across town and then some personal/medical issues come up so I was rather preoccupied with that and didn't get around to reshipping. Once I got those problems more or less under control, I went to
check my emails, realized that I was an idiot and needed to reship - so I did. Thus endeth the saga. :-P
I would appreciate, though, if you would follow up to anywhere you posted or complained to about this with something about how you got it and that it was as I described it, if you feel that is true. Yes, I will admit that I was an idiot and 'slow' to ship, but I didn't rip you off (at least *I* don't think I did... <shrug>) . Let me know what you think.
The clutch kit has arrived, and all is well....now if the damn price of gas would drop, I would start working on the car again ;-)
